I was lucky enough to be interviewed about the idea of ‘happy accidents’ for this lovely student fashion magazine, and they quoted me and used one of my images. Very exciting. Interesting that I got described as an illustration with a talent to be messy….. Hopefully you can read these, you might have to zoom in quite a bit

Trying to work on animating walking, to make it look a bit more fluid. Tried to help myself by simplifying it to a silhouette cut-out man. Think I need to fill in some gaps but it’s getting better. Probably also need to work on improving the general quality of my drawings for the final animation. This would have looked a bit better if the camera had been in a better position but from where it was it exaggerated the paper curling and changing the perspective of the man’s position.

Trying out drawing frames by hand, then scanning them in. Comes out really jerky but I quite like the effect, it’s a possibility to use in the final thing. And now I reckon I could animate a walk so this was a good exercise! Trying to work out technical things like speed and stuff and I think this one is alright at 0.16seconds per frame

Still loving the collage thing so have been playing around with magazine imagery as well as some pen drawing. Was quite pleased with the two landscape images below so have attempted to make an animation with one of them. Sorry about the dodgy quality, have no idea why it deteriorated between me and youtube but there we go. Imagery is based on a narrative where a man heads into the woods and has surreal experiences:

More mixed media sketches looking at houses in the countryside. I quite like the technique and look of these, need to explore different subject matter though.
